The Problem With Standard Gym Tees
Most gym tees fall into one of two camps. There is the 100% cotton tee — comfortable, breathable, but stretches out of shape after a few washes and clings when it gets wet. Then there is the 100% synthetic tee — moisture-wicking, yes, but often feels plasticky against the skin and looks noticeably gym-only the moment you step outside. Neither is ideal for someone who wants gear that performs in the gym and looks good doing it.
What is EliteCotton?
EliteCotton is E1P's signature fabric blend — a premium combination of cotton and elastane engineered specifically for performance training and everyday wear.
- The cotton provides natural softness, breathability, and a feel that improves with every wash. It sits comfortably against the skin without the synthetic scratch that cheaper performance fabrics can have.
- The elastane adds four-way stretch — the fabric moves with you in every direction. Overhead press, deadlift, sprint finish — the tee does not restrict, bunch, or ride up.
Why It Is Lightweight
We deliberately kept the EliteCotton blend on the lighter end of the weight spectrum. A lighter fabric breathes better during high-intensity sessions, dries faster after training, and does not add unnecessary bulk under a jacket or hoodie when you are moving between the gym and the rest of your day.
Durability and Shape Retention
One of the biggest complaints with oversized tees is that they lose their shape. The elastane content in EliteCotton helps the fabric recover after stretching, so the silhouette stays consistent wash after wash. Caring For Your EliteCotton Tee
- Machine wash cold (30 degrees) with like colours
- Tumble dry low — high heat breaks down elastane fibres over time
- Do not bleach or dry clean
- Turn inside out to preserve any print or logo
